A repair gets refused at vendor approval when nobody can name the works, the certificate or the lab behind the sleeve.
The name that goes on the requisition
This site indexes and explains. It makes nothing at all. Every sleeve, tape, mastic and sealing cap named on these pages comes out of one firm. It is Gala Thermo Shrink Pvt. Ltd., part of the Gala Group and selling under the name Gala Shrink Fit. J.P. Gala founded it in February 1979, as a factory processing PVC. Bhavesh Gala has been Managing Director since 1993. That was also the year the first export order shipped, to Malaysia. Its own account of itself is on the company profile page.
Two works make the range. Palghar in Maharashtra covers four lines: heat-shrink tube, moulded shapes, PVC moulding, and cable accessories. It is the older site and took a phase II expansion in 2018. The second unit sits inside the Surat SEZ in Gujarat, opened in 2011, and makes moulded shapes. Commercial heat-shrink tube production began in 2007; the moulded-shape line dates from 2001.
Read that split carefully, because it is published by process and not by product. It does not tell you which unit cuts a GWS, GMRS, GTWS or GPWS wraparound. A wraparound is neither tube sold by the metre nor a moulded shape, and no published document places it at one address. If your inspection and test plan needs a works, ask for it in writing against the part code rather than assuming Palghar.
One thing the published record does settle. Compounding through dispatch is in-house, so the polyolefin and the adhesive lining it are not two firms' work stitched together at a third. A question about a compound and a question about a consignment go to the same company. Corporate offices moved to Eureka Tower in Malad, Mumbai in January 2020, and that is where the enquiry lands.

The certificate register, and the scope written on each one
- ISO 9001:2015
- Quality management across both works, first certified in 2003. It describes how a factory is run. It says nothing about how a sleeve behaves at 50 °C.
- ISO 14001:2015
- Environmental management, held since 2007. There is no electrical or mechanical scope inside it.
- ISO 45001:2018
- Occupational health and safety, replacing the earlier OHSAS 18001. Again, nothing a specification clause can lean on.
- UL File E328538
- Heat-shrink tubes, listed in 2009. Tubes. Not the wraparound sleeves charted on this site.
- UL File E335936
- Busboot and Bustube, listed in 2011. Busbar parts, and outside the scope of everything indexed here.
- CPRI certification
- 33 kV heat-shrink joints and terminations, dated August 2012. An outside laboratory, and cable accessories rather than wraps.
- MSEDCL approval
- Up to 11 kV in 2015, extended to 11 kV to 33 kV in 2016. A distribution utility's own approval of the accessory range.
- ERDA test reports
- Held, and cited as an accreditation. The published record gives no date and no list of the parts covered.
- AEO
- Customs and trade standing. It affects how a consignment clears. It settles no technical argument.
- Where to check them
- The manufacturer keeps its own list on the certification page. Read the scope line there before you cite one on a vendor form.
Ask for these five things before a code enters a specification
Not one certificate above is issued against a wraparound sleeve by name. That is not a fault in the parts. It is a gap in what you are able to quote, and five questions close it.
- The qualification report number for your part. Three sheets behind this site already carry one: QR 1020 on the heat shrink tape, QR 1021 on the pipe coupler, QR 1025 on the U-bolt coating. Ask for the equivalent on the sleeve you are buying, and quote the number, not the brochure.
- Which laboratory produced the figure. Three laboratories sit inside the works. Partial discharge in the first, high voltage in the second, general product testing in the third. No datasheet across this range says which of them measured what.
- Whether the number is in-house or third party. CPRI, ERDA and MSEDCL are the outside names in this record. A tensile figure measured in the maker's own lab is still a real figure. It is a different class of evidence, and an approval form usually asks for the outside class.
- The issue date of the sheet you were sent. Published dimensions on this range have moved. The same GWS codes carry two different cable bands depending on which document you are holding, and the size chart prints both columns rather than picking one. Cite a sheet by date or you will end up arguing about which one you meant.
- The works the part ships from. Palghar or the Surat SEZ. The process split above will not answer that on its own, and an inspection release note needs an address.
Three figures this page will not print
Plant count, plant area and revenue are missing here on purpose. The manufacturer's own published material gives different answers for the first two, and a number that fails checking on a vendor questionnaire costs you more than a blank line does. Price, lead time, minimum order quantity and stock position are absent for a plainer reason: this site holds no source for any of them and will not estimate one. Nor does an annual output figure answer a delivery question. Nine million metres describes a year across two works. It does not tell you whether 400 metres of one code exist next week. Put that to the manufacturer, and get the answer in writing.
Name the part before you ask about the plant
Technical questions are answered here. Commercial ones are routed to the manufacturer, whose published address and telephone numbers are given in full rather than hidden behind a form. Send the outer diameter you measured, the substrate and the maximum service temperature, and the reply can name a code and the sheet the code came from.
